The purpose of massage therapy is to prevent, develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function or relieve pain. It is a clinically-oriented health option that achieves results in the relief of an array of discomforts stemming from stress, muscular overuse, injury and many chronic pain syndromes.

The benefits of massage therapy are both physiologic and psychological making it effective treatment for managing and relieving pain, as well as combating stress and anxiety. Massage therapy can assist with a wide range of conditions including muscle strains, whiplash, headaches, sciatica, sport and repetitive strain injuries, tendonitis and complaints of pregnancy.
